Unfortunately, the Catholic School Board Website is just not that slick, IMHO, but it will give you the info you need.
Alton Public School
I’ve mentioned this school, very specifically, because of it’s importance, not just within the Caledon area, but within the whole country! This is one of Canada’s last remaining, and operational ORIGINAL school houses. This school house was built in 1873, and construction spilled into 1874, when it was completed. An addition was built in 1908 (heck, just the addition is over a hundred years old).
Alton Public School is located in the most North Westerly part of the school board, and right in the picturesque town of Alton, Ontario. At the time of writing, there is approximately 140 students attending the school. The school serves children from kindergarten through to grade six. Moving onto grades seven and eight, the children will go to Caledon Central Public School.
